If something goes wrong with your septic system, who can you really trust to fix the problem? Are you ready for “How much toilet paper did you really use?” or “How did that get in there?” Most people never expect there to be a problem. Nobody really knows what happens when you flush, or cares. But when something does go wrong, do you really want somebody you don’t know poking around that stuff?
There are a variety of businesses that exist because they do something that most people really don’t want to deal with. For example, funeral homes take care of people who have passed away, garbage companies take care of trash, and plumbing and septic companies take care of things going down a toilet.
“There is something fascinating about all that goes on below the ground,” reports Steve Labbe. The other day the Paradigm team was in the middle of doing a septic system assessment, “and I realized that it was really interesting – the sophistication of that camera, head pivoting side-to-side, up and down, and around 360 degrees, looking into crevices, down the piping, and at all those disposed personal items. The technology enabled us to see everything. The funny thing is that you don’t even think about the smell or that you are searching through sewage at the time.”
The reality is that most people have no idea what happens to disposables. All of It – trash to human waste – has to go somewhere. Plumbers need to figure out how to deal with it, as well as how to preserve the safety of the drinking water.
“We understand letting a plumber into your home takes a bit of trust. We find ourselves getting involved in some of the unexpected and intimate aspects of people’s lives,” notes Steve. “Paradigm loves people, as well as a challenge, which often means getting into the world of discovery. We aim to gain your trust and maintain it over time for whatever plumbing challenges that intrude into your busy
lives.”
